Privacy Policy

SEO Soar respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We manage personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Who we are

SEO Soar is a Melbourne-based SEO agency operated by Andy Merritt, working with clients across Australia. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us at andy@seosoar.com.

What we collect

We only collect information we need to respond to you and run our business:

• Information you give us through our contact form, free audit request or by email and phone, such as your name, email address, phone number, website and any message you send.
• Usage information collected automatically when you visit the site, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is collected through analytics tools and standard server logs.
• Cookies and similar technologies used to make the site work and to understand how it is used.

We do not sell products through this website, and we do not ask you to create an account or enter payment details on it.

How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote or deliver a free audit you requested.
• To provide and improve our services and this website.
• To send you information you have asked for, or that is directly relevant to work we are doing for you.
• To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Cookies and analytics

We use analytics tools such as Google Analytics, and may use Microsoft Clarity, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. These tools set cookies and collect usage information in an aggregated form. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Turning off cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where needed to run our business, including:

• Trusted service providers who help us operate, such as website hosting, email and analytics providers. Some of these providers may store data overseas.
• Where we are required or authorised to do so by law.

We do not disclose your information for any other purpose without your consent.

How we store and protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only for as long as we need it or are required to by law. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

You can ask us to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it where we are not required to keep it. To make a request, email andy@seosoar.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
